Terms of Service

Draft for launch review. These terms describe how the product works and the obligations on both sides. Have a lawyer familiar with Indian Contract Act provisions, the IT Act 2000, and the consumer-protection regimes of your target markets review before the first paid signup.

By creating a StudyDeck account or using the StudyDeck application in any way, you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

StudyDeck is a study-card application (the “Service”) for teachers, parents and the students they support. The Service is operated by StudyDeck, a sole proprietorship registered in India (the “Operator”, “we”).

The Service is delivered as a hosted application:

The previously offered downloadable single-file edition with offline license keys was retired in April 2026; all customers now use the hosted Service.

Tiers

  1. Student — a single learner studying for themselves.
  2. Parent (Lite / Standard / Plus) — a household; student count and AI credits scale with the sub-tier.
  3. Private Teacher (Lite / Standard / Plus) — a single tutor or coaching teacher.
  4. School — multi-teacher organisation (sales-led).
  5. Chain — multiple schools under one administration (sales-led).

Tier limits and prices are listed at /#pricing and are configurable from our admin panel; the figures shown at the moment of purchase apply to that subscription. A one-time 14-day free trial is available per Google account.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. In short: 7-day no-questions refund on a first-time purchase; pro-rated on cancellation of an annual plan within 30 days; nothing afterwards.

11. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka. Nothing here removes any non-waivable consumer rights you may have under your local law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. Material changes are announced in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance of the updated Terms. If you don't accept, you can cancel and request a refund per the Refund Policy.
